About Us
Groundwork Montessori, set to open its doors in September 2026, is located in the heart of Mount Holly. We are thrilled to bring a Montessori community to Gaston County and to proudly call Mount Holly our home.
We offer a true-to-form, all-encompassing Montessori education for children ages 2.5 to 6. The Montessori approach is one of beautiful simplicity: providing a hands-on, personalized learning environment that honors each child’s natural development. At Groundwork Montessori, children learn and grow at their own individualized pace, allowing them to flourish both academically and socially as they begin their journey toward becoming thoughtful, capable contributors to society.
We are deeply committed to implementing the purest form of Montessori education. Our classroom is led by an internationally trained Montessori teacher with AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) credentials, ensuring that all instruction is rooted directly in the teachings and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. This commitment to authenticity allows us to provide a rich, intentional educational experience that supports independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
